The FOLDING HIDE was created
to make it more portable than the
Back-Up HIDE knife from which it
derives its style and quality though
we have maintained the robustness
and versatility of its fi xed brother.
The handle is larger than that of the
fi xed blade so as to accommodate
the Lock back. The complexity of
the locking system has challenged
the Fantoni artisans to keep a low
weight and they have achieved this
by varying the thickness of the vari-
ous components. These enhance-
ments have been carried over into
other areas where the clip is at-
tached to a spacer, for example,
enabling the knife to be hidden if it
hangs in a pocket.
