The manufacture of the KUPILKA products started in 2003.
KUPILKA products have been designed by Kari Kuisma together with a well-known Finnish architect and designer Heikki Koivurova. KUPILKA means a “little cup” and the word stems from the Finnish word “kuppi”. It also refers to a term used by Finnish people decades ago, when men and women warmed up their hands with their “kupilka” or “little cup” by drinking hot beverages during the rough Finnish winters.
KUPILKA products are made from eco-friendly Kareline Natural Fibre Composite material. This means that they are light, durable and dishwasher safe.
KUPILKA 1 mini cup for measuring – use a heaping scoop for 7 grams of coffee or fill the cup to the brim for a 15 ml tablespoon measure. This jewellery like friend hangs lightly around your neck or on your bag.
You can hang the jewellery like KUPILKA 1 mini cup around your neck with a reindeer leather cord that comes with the cup. Reindeer leather is uniquely soft, thin and durable. It is also seen as an ethical alternative as the reindeer lives most of its life free and the leather is produced as a by-product of food production.
