The M43 Kukri belongs to the Mark 2 (MK2) Issue Kukri group of knives and was used in the Far East and may have been used even further back. It is known to have been used by American forces in Burma and by the C.B.I. in theater, some of which, including Merrill's Marauders, carried the M43 Kukri against the Imperial Japanese Army.
