The Naava Annual Knife 2022, inspired by natural beauty, is a tribute to Finnish summer. We chose curly birch and birch as materials – after all, what would the summer landscape be without beautiful, lush green birches. The knife’s name, meaning beard moss in Finnish, also reflects the purity of nature, as the delicate moss is found in only healthy forests.

The theme that guided the design of the 2022 Annual Knife is also reflected in its details: the green birch veneer on the handle adds a fresh touch. The color scheme is visible also in the patterning on the lightly colored leather sheath. To the handle we added a clear protective wax to give the knife a a long and productive life cycle.

The knife's blade is made of stainless steel and the same design is found on our practical Skinner knife. The Naava Annual Knife is an excellent general-purpose knife with a practical sharpening angle (22). Designed and manufactured in Finland, the knife is a tribute to our short but beautiful summers.
