This is my favorite knife. I own this knife in natural canvas and black canvas micarta. The blade is thin which helps it slice like a champ. The tip is thin and pointy which is great for delicate work. If you want a survival knife to baton or otherwise abuse then get the XS Splinter. I added a short paracord lanyard to pull this out of the pouch sheath as it can be hard to pull out without one, especially with heavy gloves.
Best knife ive ever owned. Dont let the size thickness or wieght put you off. This is a knife that cuts and slices. Tip strenth is amazing for drilling holes,or digging a crossbow bolt out of an oak tree.
Very high quality knife. Fit and finish is first class and the tight fitting leather sheath is high quality. The jimping on the spine is not aggressive but provides a measure of traction for the thumb. The handle is slim in cross section which makes it nimble in hand. Whilst the handle scales have a ribbing pattern to them, the high level of polish makes them feel slick (nothing a light rub with some wet and dry won't fix).
All in all a high quality knife that I'm glad I bought.
