El afilador DC4 es una piedra de afilar que combina superficies de diamante y cerámica para cubrir todas tus necesidades de afilado. Está compuesta por una piedra de diamante fina y una piedra cerámica especial hecha de zafiros sintéticos. La ventaja de estos materiales es que, aunque se desgasten, conservan su forma plana – algo crucial al afilar cuchillos. Además, al ser de los materiales más duros que se conocen, pueden afilar cualquier tipo de acero, incluso los aceros en polvo más duros.

No requiere lubricación, pero conviene limpiarla de vez en cuando con agua caliente y jabón líquido. Puede sentirse áspera al principio, pero se vuelve más suave y eficiente con el uso.

Incluye funda de cuero.

Ideal también para afilar patines de hielo.

I've been using the DC4 for many years. This is my third because I like to have one in various packs. While the diamond side is quite aggressive to begin with it will become finer with use. The ceramic puts on a very nice polished edge. The first one I bought about six years ago and is still usable after much use. The only thing I've done to it besides washing it with dish soap is take a coarse diamond sharpener to the ceramic side to true it up perhaps once a year. I would not want to be without my DC4's!

If you’re looking for a excellent quality on the go or at home sharpening stone i can honestly say this is one of the best you can get. This is the second one i have purchased the first one still works but the diamonds have lost a lot of there bite saying that it’s nearly 8-9 years old lol, and it has had a hard life. So i had to treat myself too a new one but I still got the old one as it still gives life too a dull edge. AAA+

Mit der geringen Größe, den beiden Schärfseiten und dem Behelfsabziehleder auf der Rückseite des Etuis sehr praktisch für unterwegs wenngleich kein Ersatz für einen vollwertigen Schärfplatz für große Messer.

Har flere av disse, på kjøkkenet, i bilen, i ryggsekken, i verktøykassa og i lomma. Den eldste er over 20 år, og brukes fortsatt. Gir også disse som gaver til venner og familie. Sliper kniver og verktøy, fra ubrukelig til barberblad, raskt og effektivt. Krever litt erfaring for godt resultat, men det er bare å prøve, etter hvert får en et bra resultat.

Проверил на обычном охотничьем ноже - заточил быстро. Для Helle Sylvsteinen он не потребовался. Но считаю что он не для него. Буду благодарен, если порекомендуете чем и как лучше правильно поправить или заточить нож из ламинированной стали типа Helle Sylvsteinen
