After checking it on the internet I came to the conclusion this must be the best inox machete for the price. I have experience with machetes now for 40 years made of carbon steel, and others much more exclusive blades like the extrema ratio kreios. As far as tested it is doing what it is supposed to do, and it is sharp right out of the box. Of course i did some personal tuning like removing the sharp corners on top of the tip so you can grab it there when stripping off bark. It is nice thin and light so you can use it for a long time clearing a path and has a heavy tip that is good if you need to do some serious chopping. Meantime it does not rust if you want to use it for preparing food and it is small enough to put it in your backpack when you are walking on places where people are not used to seeing you with a machete. Of course the expensive ones look maybe better and have some better performances, but at least for this price I would not be crying if I hit a stone or get a scratch on the blade, meaning you will use it for what it is meant to do. For the sheat, it is looking like fake leather but I am not sure. It does its job and for the total price I am happy there is one. So, if you want an affordable inox blade that chops and is packable, this is for sure a good buy.
