Böker

Started from a small hardware factory of the Böker family in Germany in the 17th century, Böker became famous in 1869 when they launched their tree-brand knives developed in cooperation with the well-known cutlery-expert Hermann Heuser. The history of Böker has been affected by eventful times, but two things remained: passion and enthusiasm for extraordinary knives. Böker was one of the first companies to offer ceramic knives as a featured product line.

Description

Les Voorhies from Minnesota has been making superior custom knives for 20 years as handcrafted oneoffs with maximum exclusivity. His ball-bearing supported flipper models combine supreme elegance with absolute daily utility. As a result, his model 13 is exemplary for a successful synthesis of the features. The EDC compatible size, the versatile blade shape and very smooth and uniform ball-bearing hinged blade movement make the "13" into a potential favorite for many knife enthusiasts. The powdered metal CPM 154 ensures excellent edge holding, while the titanium liners and spacers of the liner lock knife underscore the exclusive features that collectors and users alike can expect from the designs by Les Voorhies. The collector's grade version of the 13 has a satin-finished blade that beautifully harmonizes with the titanium bolsters and the "Wild" carbon fiber scales. Without clip.

gorgeous looker and after giving it a good clean is now really smooth. The pivot/bearings were very grimy. my main dislike with this knife is the detent... there isn't one, any tighter and it won't flip but you can shake the blade out quite easily which isn't really safe.
