The 440-C steel blade has a fine satin finish, and the generously dimensioned index finger contour reliably prevents slipping against the sharp blade. The grip design is based on two solid titanium liners, one of which supports the framelock, the mechanism that engages the blade. The riffled thumb ramp allows safe and fatigue-free work. The concept for the Stingray model has its roots in Sal's collaboration with a New York special forces police unit.
