I am quite the Helle fan, yet I sent this knife back. Materials and workmanship are excellent, as always, the size and balance would make this my favorite of all Helles - if it weren't for the finger guard. While beautiful and distinctive, it allowed only one comfortable grip (reverse) for my glove size 9 hand. This is an example of design at the expense of usability: form should follow functionality.
To be fair, for anyone with small hands this would be my top recommendation among Helles.
