The exactly same blade as in other, discontinued Gerber machete models, indicating a lazy designteam that just changed the handle and colour.
The blade is held by two screws BUT only sits in the handle with 4.5 cm, making the construction very weak. It has been documented for the handle to break, sending the blade and screws flying mid swing.
The scabbard is weak and gets slightly more damaged every time the blade is taken out / put in.
The saw is not even close to the level of dedicated folding saws, clearly restricted to lighter use and softer materials.
To me it's obvious that this is not a tool for survival or hard use.
I did buy it on sale and will use it for light duties around the garden.
It may not be the best machete in the world, but it's ideal for small spaces. It's very easy to handle and very useful. I recommend it.
Kevyt kuljettaa mukana mutta terä kaipaisi hieman massaa jotta lyöntiin tulisi enemmän voimaa. Ihan laadukas kampe yhden testin jälkeen.
