The Carinthia HIG 5.0 Jacket is a high-insulation cold-weather jacket designed for situations where activity levels constantly change. Positioned between highly dynamic insulation garments and extreme cold-weather protection, it combines substantial warmth with effective temperature regulation. The result is a versatile jacket suitable for demanding use in temperatures down to -20 °C.

High-performance G-LOFT® insulation uses 145 g/m² around the body and 110 g/m² in the sleeves, providing reliable warmth during periods of reduced activity. A redesigned internal quilting construction helps minimize cold bridges and improves the consistency of insulation throughout the jacket.

When activity increases, underarm Pit Zips provide fast ventilation and allow excess heat to escape without removing layers. This makes the HIG 5.0 particularly effective during missions, expeditions and other situations that alternate between strenuous movement and stationary periods.

A new two-part front zipper increases flexibility while sitting, moving or working with equipment. Optimized inner and mesh pockets can be used for storing, warming or drying gloves and other small gear, while a zippered Napoleon inner pocket keeps essential items secure.

The CARINTHIA® SOF 2L outer construction is windproof and highly water-repellent for dependable protection in changing weather. HIG 5.0 is designed for military infantry, special forces, multi-day expeditions and demanding bushcraft or survival use in cold regions.
