The Helle Fjording 50 Aar 2025 LTD is a knife that blends time-tested tradition with something entirely new. In 1975, Helle introduced the Fjording, a knife that stood out from typical Scandinavian designs with its strong, mid-length blade and an ergonomically shaped handle that ensured a safe and secure grip. This same design philosophy later gave rise to the best-selling Nying, a knife that has sold over a million units to date.

In 2025, it will be 50 years since the original Fjording was first released. To honor this milestone, Helle presents a limited-edition anniversary model that pays homage to its predecessors. The Fjording 50 Aar features the same short (approx. 7 cm / 2.76 inch) and rigid blade along with a sturdy handle design, just like the original. This knife is ideal for precision tasks such as carving and whittling. Its wrap-around sheath offers versatile carry options, making it easy to attach to a belt or backpack strap.

The materials have also been upgraded. The original, slightly thinner carbon steel blade has been replaced with triple-laminated H3LC steel for improved durability and performance. The birch handle has been refined into a unique combination of curly birch, stabilized green birch, and leather, creating a visually striking and durable construction. The sheath is crafted from high-quality leather.

With the sheath included, the knife weighs only 120 grams / 4.24 oz, and its total length remains just under 16 cm / 6.3 in. The Helle Fjording 50 Aar 2025 LTD may be small, but it packs a punch. It's a versatile woodcraft tool that also serves as a practical EDC knife.
