Savotta Sleeping Mat was originally designed for the Finnish army, but as well it is suitable for a common hiker’s purposes. Sleeping mat is a soft and durable trestle, which certainly will survive all the challenges a hiker might face during a hike.

Used down to low temps on rock covered ground and slept great. Didn't lose heat to the ground or get poked.

Very functional and well made, very easy to pack on Savotta XL packs with the use of packing straps and stays dry and decently clean even when strapped to the outside of the bag, very insulating and decently comfortable although not the best.

I already have a few Savotta products and they are awesome! I only gave this pad four stars because I have yet to use it while camping. I have tried it in my home and found it surprisingly comfortable. But there is no real test like nature. So until I can find an available campground near me, I will speak on the quality which appears to be of the quality that I’ve come to expect from them. Upon visual inspection, there are ZERO flaws with this thing. I look forward to trying this out in the real world.
