KMFS Vantaedge Rotoclamp

The KMFS ROTOCLAMP is an advanced rotating clamping system developed for the Vantaedge INTEGRAL sharpening system. It provides stronger and more precise blade fixation, individually adjustable clamp positioning and fast 180° blade rotation without removing any part of the Vantaedge setup.

The integral clamps and main chassis are CNC-machined from solid EN AW 7075 T651 Ergal blocks for maximum rigidity, accuracy and durability. Two clamps use spherical bronze bushings for the clamping screws. These bushings compensate for angular differences, reduce unwanted lateral forces during tightening and allow the clamps to adapt accurately to the knife blade. Both auxiliary clamps do not have to be engaged - even a single clamp can significantly improve blade stability during sharpening.

The distance between the clamping jaws can be adjusted individually, and the design also allows additional jaws to be added when required. The knife can be rotated inside the system while remaining securely clamped. A shaped groove in the bronze seat provides positive indexing at 180°, while the calibrated locking position can be adjusted when necessary.

The stainless steel clamp shaft runs in two bronze bushings, allowing smooth rotation and axial movement. The force of the stainless steel spring that secures the working position can be adjusted through a self-locking stainless steel nut using the supplied tool.

ROTOCLAMP also positions the angle-head linear bearing lower, allowing smaller sharpening angles to be achieved.
