Nitro-X7 is a modern, nitrogen-alloyed stainless martensitic knife steel developed by Buderus Edelstahl. Its composition of approximately 15% chromium together with carbon, nitrogen, molybdenum, and vanadium produces a fine carbide and nitride structure. This allows Nitro-X7 to combine good wear resistance with excellent edge stability and strong resistance to corrosion.
