The manufacture of the KUPILKA products started in 2003.
KUPILKA products have been designed by Kari Kuisma together with a well-known Finnish architect and designer Heikki Koivurova. KUPILKA means a “little cup” and the word stems from the Finnish word “kuppi”. It also refers to a term used by Finnish people decades ago, when men and women warmed up their hands with their “kupilka” or “little cup” by drinking hot beverages during the rough Finnish winters.
KUPILKA products are made from eco-friendly Kareline Natural Fibre Composite material. This means that they are light, durable and dishwasher safe.
Moomintroll is an agreeable fellow who’s interested in everything he sees. The world is full of exciting things to investigate, but Moomintroll particularly loves collecting rocks and shells. He also loves the sea, as does the whole Moomin family. Moomintroll is a dreamer and a thinker, and the maverick vagabond Snufkin is his best friend.

The new era of outdoor dining started from this very cup. Already in the old times the shape of KUPILKA 21 was used due to its practicality.
