Nóż Scandinoff Seax Valknut Classic Viking Colors, Dark Birch
Scandinoff SEAX Valknut Classic – Viking Colors – Dark Birch is a true Viking-inspired bushcraft knife: a modern interpretation of the historical seax, handcrafted for demanding outdoor use. Designed by Sven Värmsson (Netherlands), it combines traditional lines with robust materials and construction that can handle real work in the field.
The long Modern SEAX blade made from Swedish Sleipner steel (HRC 60±1) offers an extremely sharp, precise tip and excellent stiffness along the spine. Thanks to the dedicated SEAX grind and 4.2 mm blade thickness, the knife is capable of heavy chopping tasks that come close to what you would expect from a small axe, while still providing fine cutting control for carving, food prep and general camp chores. The satin stonewash finish adds extra protection and a discreet, working look.
The handle is crafted from premium curly birch (Finland), dark brown, carefully heat-treated and shaped by hand. Together with the brass bolster and blue/yellow/red vulcan fiber spacers, it brings the “Viking Colors” theme to life and gives the knife a warm, traditional feel in hand. The balanced dimensions and classic profile make it equally at home as a bushcraft, camping, hiking, cooking, fishing or collector’s knife.
A thick 4 mm premium calf leather sheath (black with blue stitching) keeps the Valknut Classic secure on your belt and matches the color accents of the knife. For steel, Scandinoff relies on Scandinavian tool steels – in this case Sleipner – ensuring edge stability, high hardness and dependable performance even with hard use.
If you are looking for a seax that blends historical character, modern steel and real-world functionality, SEAX Valknut Classic – Viking Colors – Dark Birch is built exactly for that.
