One word AMAZING

Very happy with the kizer sheepdog knives I have had the black variant for about a year now.the reason it's getting three is because it was lost in shipping. But lamnia have been very helpful.

Bought this purely for the novelty value of having a big pocket cleaver. At that, it shines. The action is great, opens with an authoritative thwack when you hit the flipper tab. Blade is incredibly sharp, so be careful closing with one hand. There lies the only complaint: the blade has bit of a double clutch where you really have to take care that you overcome the detent when closing, and then it’s drop shut (probably because the blade is so heavy). But there’s that initial sticking point and it’s easy to mess it up, which with a blade this big, heavy and sharp could pretty easily lead to something worse than a little nick. So be careful with that. Otherwise, an absolute monster. Cuts down cardboard boxes like a hot knife thru butter. Pretty decent fit and finish. Like it a lot. But it’s heavy, huge and obviously not great at anything that requires a poky, pointy tip, so understand that you’re buying a cleaver, and a cleaver isn’t great for everything.
