The Mithril marked a milestone as the first Kizer KineticFit™ Button Lock folder to feature this ultra-robust adaptive locking mechanism. By incorporating a reinforced lock pillar and a proprietary pillar ramp design, Kizer engineered its strongest button lock to date. The system was developed specifically for wear-compensation, systematically reducing the risk of blade play that can develop in traditional folders. The result is a consistent, secure lock-up designed to remain reliable under intensive use.

For centuries, “Mithril” existed only in epic lore - a metal described as light as a feather yet harder than dragon scale. The Mithril folder was conceived as a tribute to that balance. By combining aerospace-grade precision manufacturing with refined design language, Kizer created a tool that feels lightweight in the pocket while maintaining a solid, confidence-inspiring presence in hand.

The Mithril features M390 steel with official factory-authorized heat treatment, a 3.5-inch blade length, and a 3.5 mm blade thickness. Through advanced blade grinding and ergonomic internal CNC weight reduction, total weight is kept to approximately 108 g. Despite its full-size proportions, the engineering ensures a secure full-palm grip and controlled handling for daily carry. The result is a construction that is lightweight yet structurally robust, achieving a refined balance in grip, operation, and overall EDC performance.

DLC Ultra & Glowing Accents - Defying Friction
An integrated DLC Ultra coating is applied to the blade, handle, and button pillar. This diamond-like carbon layer reduces friction and increases wear resistance, helping to mitigate lock stick and ensure consistently smooth deployment. The button is inlaid with fluorescent resin, creating a subtle glowing accent that improves visibility and usability in low-light conditions.

The 3D titanium pocket clip is CNC-machined to integrate seamlessly with the handle, maintaining comfort even during demanding use.
