Finnish Billhook, also known as Hukari or skrama, is a traditional curved-edge utility knife designed for forest work, bushcraft, and trekking. Inspired by Nordic outdoor heritage, this versatile tool excels at chopping, trimming, clearing—and even whittling when needed.

Hand-forged in Härmä, Finland, a region renowned for its rich puukko-making tradition, this tool combines the power of a compact axe with the control of a large knife. It’s particularly effective for wilderness tasks, campsite duties, and light forestry or garden work.

The 19 cm blade is made from 4,1 mm thick carbon steel, with a blackened power-coated finish on the sides to reduce corrosion. The handle is crafted from Lamnia-exclusive color stained birch and shaped for a secure and comfortable grip during extended use.

Thanks to its curved profile and weight balance, the Billhook can also be used for basic whittling or shaping tasks, making it a true all-rounder in the outdoors.

Total length is 38 cm, weight approx. 450 g. Comes with a genuine leather sheath with snap closure for safe carry.

The Hukari is a truly Finnish utility tool with roots deep in history. According to some European military historians, its origins trace back to the 17th century and the sword used by the Hakkapeliitta – Finnish light cavalrymen who served in the Swedish army. Their battle cry, 'Hugga in!' (meaning 'Strike!'), gave rise to the name 'hukari' in Central Europe. The result is a tool that carries historical legacy while remaining extremely practical for modern wilderness use.
