Knife enthusiasts are in the habit of regularly disassembling, cleaning, lubricating tuning, and reassembling their knives. This is often extremely difficult, because there are all kinds of little screws, bearings, bushings, etc. that are easy to lose, not to mention the inevitable mess that get's made by excess cleaners and lubricants.
