This classic bench stone has the highest available density and as a result is the rarest of all Arkansas stones - with maximum density for particularly demanding users and extremely sharp edges. Approximately corresponds to 8000 to 10,000 grit. The 6" Bench Stone Translucent Arkansas is sized at 152.4 x 50.8 x 14 mm, and is also half an inch thick.

Excellent.I use it for my straight razors (finish sharpening).
Very nice stone for finishing. Gives polished results. Very little wear and easy to keep clean. With the right freehand sharpening skills gives extreem sharp results. Water stone users should try this stone for a change. Very good alternative. I do both by the way.
