Basque racing axe, based on Canadian racing axes used by Australian axemen. The hardness of the steel and racing geometry makes it a superb chopper, but the axe must be used carefully. Do not use it on the knots of the wood or for splitting tasks.

I like the weight and feel of this axe. The handle length works well with the head. Also want to comment that the axe was well protected in the shipping cardboard and arrived without a scratch. Thank you.
This is a serious hardwood racing axe, very good handle and weight. Keeps a great edge and removes chips very easily. It performs best on beech but works well on all woods, however for pine or poplar a larger bit would be preferred. very happy with my purchase
