Scandinoff SEAX Valknut Classic – Viking Colors – Nature Birch is a Viking-inspired bushcraft knife that brings the traditional seax into the modern outdoors. Handcrafted in the Czech Republic and designed by Sven Värmsson (Netherlands), it combines historical lines with reliable performance for bushcraft, camping and everyday outdoor tasks.

The long Modern SEAX blade is made from Swedish Sleipner steel (HRC 60±1), offering a very sharp, functional tip and excellent stiffness along the spine. The dedicated SEAX grind and 4.2 mm blade thickness make the knife surprisingly capable in chopping and splitting – comparable to a small axe in many situations – while still allowing controlled cuts for carving, food preparation and camp chores. The satin stonewash finish gives the blade a discreet, hard-working look.

The highlight of this version is the handle: handcrafted premium curly birch (Finland), natural tone. The warm, bright wood grain gives the knife a classic Nordic puukko feeling with a Viking twist. Together with the brass bolster and blue/yellow/red vulcan fiber spacers, it brings the “Viking Colors” theme to life and sits comfortably in the hand during long use.

A 4 mm premium calf leather sheath, black with blue stitching, keeps the Valknut Classic safely on your belt and ready for work. As with all SCANDINOFF knives, only Scandinavian steels are used – here Sleipner – to ensure edge stability, high hardness and dependable performance in demanding conditions.
