Savotta Kantamus is a long-awaited new backpack whose volume and versatile features make it a practically compact rucksack. The materials and craftsmanship reflect Savotta's trusted quality, resulting in a backpack that adapts to a wide range of needs, from outdoor activities to military and law enforcement use.

The internal aluminum tube frame ensures optimal load transfer and provides support for carrying heavier loads. The closed-cell back padding can be removed from its compartment, allowing the padding to be used, for example, as a sitting mat. Padded shoulder straps enhance carrying comfort. The hip belt consists of two 50 mm webbing straps sewn directly to the backpack, equipped with PALS webbing. Padding and front closure straps are attached by threading through the webbing, making all hip belt components easily replaceable without tools or sewing.

The spacious main compartment (approx. 40 liters) opens from the top with a roll closure and from the right side with a zipper. Naturally, there is a compartment for a hydration bladder with hose ports on both sides of the backpack. The floating lid includes an additional 8-liter zippered compartment, with elastic bands on top for securing lighter gear and two rows of PALS webbing on the underside for items such as a sleeping mat.

The left side zipper provides access to the front wall of the backpack, where you’ll find a flat compartment for items like tarps or rain ponchos.

Ample PALS webbing on the exterior allows for attaching extra pouches and gear. The modularity is further enhanced by two side compression straps with SR buckles on each side, ideal for securing longer tools. Additionally, the Savotta Hatka daypack can be conveniently attached to the Kantamus, providing a smaller carry option for shorter excursions from a base camp.

The slightly pleated side pockets are flat and shallow, designed more for long accessories and tools than for water bottles. For carrying a water bottle, a general-purpose pouch attached to the hip belt may be more practical.
