This lightweight gear belt is best suited on its own for carrying lighter loads but can also be used with appropriate belt padding and/or harnesses to carry heavier gear. If you need a stiffer belt for carrying a pistol holster and/or heavier equipment, check out our Combat belt.

The belt’s core is made of two layers of webbing sewn together to create webbing channels compatible with PALS attachments for securing pouches. This belt has no stiffening layers—just plain webbing.

The belt is adjusted with a buckle and does not use hook-and-loop (Velcro) fasteners. The buckle is a 2M FDR SR buckle, a high-quality PA 6 plastic buckle well suited for belt use by design. It’s not a fancy buckle, but a perfectly serviceable basic buckle. If desired, the buckle can easily be swapped for, for example, an AustriAlpin Cobra or similar.

The ends of the adjustment straps have short sections of double-sided One-Wrap hook-and-loop tape for rolling up and tidying the strap ends. If you absolutely hate One-Wrap tape, you can tape the strap ends or use elastic strap keepers, for example.

PS: The belt comes with about a 40 cm length of elastic cord used to bundle the belt and attach the product tag. Don’t throw this away—you can craft clever things with it, such as flexible harness attachment loops for this belt!
