Wasn't sure how I would feel about this at first, as compared to some of my other big knives and blades this seemed a little boring for lack of a better description. I've quickly come to love it however. It seems to strike a perfect balance between machete and heavy chopper in that its thicker and shorter than a machete, but thinner and lighter than most chopping focused blades, but can do the work of either perfectly well and can manage finer work if needed too (though you'll likely partner it with a smaller knife). The fit and finish isn't quite as nice as many of my other knives in the same price bracket, but this isn't too much of a negative, in fact it makes me more inclined to use the Junglas over some of my others simply because I dont mind beating on it as much, and at the end of the day a knife such as this is a tool to be used. I have nicer and more impressive looking knives, many that out perform the junglas in certain areas. But as a large "survival" knife it absolutely fits the bill perfectly as a jack of all trades. It has a certain something about it that makes me love it, maybe its the no B S simplicity of the design or the fact that every time you pull this knife out it makes you grin. Whatever it is, combined with the fantastic sheath (which you 100% should get it with) I can't reccomend the Junglas enough. No regrets with this purchase.
