This is a big puukko with a full size handle that remains comfortable after long and hard use. The mid point of the handle is 0.96" wide by 1.3" deep (24,5mm x 33,5mm). The rhombic blade features a long fairly straight working section great for long deep cuts. It was quite sharp out of the box but with a little stropping is now scary sharp and remained so after three hours of carving. Workmanship is first class with a perfectly fitted blade/bolster junction and blade/handle in exact alignment. Great sheath with excellent retention. I combined this purchase with the Taskupuukko also by Tommi Mäkelä and the two pair nicely in looks as well as performance. Bravo Tommi Mäkelä and Saku Honkilahti!
